What we do with
your information
We collect what you send us on the contact form, and essentially nothing else. No advertising trackers, no cookies, nothing sold to anybody.
What the contact form collects
When you send us a quote request, we receive what you typed:
- Your name and email address, which the form requires
- Your company, what you need, and annual quantity, if you fill them in
- The details you write, and any files you attach
Three things are also recorded automatically with each submission: the IP address it came from, the country that address is in, and the date and time. We keep those because they are how we tell a real enquiry from an automated one.
Where it goes
Your submission becomes an email and is sent to us. It is not written to a database, and attachments are not stored on a server — files travel as attachments on that one email and exist nowhere else. Three services handle it on the way:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and runs the code behind the form
- Resend delivers the email
- Fastmail hosts the mailbox it arrives in
After that it sits in our inbox like any other email from a customer.
How long we keep it
Quote requests stay in our mailbox indefinitely, because they are the record of a commercial conversation — what you asked for, what we quoted, what we agreed. If you would rather we deleted yours, ask and we will.
Files you send us
The form accepts up to five files, ten megabytes in total, and only PDFs, STEP models, and photographs. We check the contents of each file rather than trusting its name, so a file renamed to look like a PDF is rejected. Formats that can carry executable content, including ZIP archives and native CAD files, are not accepted at all.
Attaching anything requires ticking a box confirming the files are not export-controlled. This form is not an approved channel for controlled material — it travels as ordinary email. If your drawings are controlled, do not attach them; get in touch and we will arrange a transfer that suits the material.
Bot protection
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission is coming from a person rather than a script. It runs in your browser and tells us only whether the check passed. We also limit how often the form can be submitted from one address. Neither is used to track you, and neither builds a profile of you.
Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and measures how quickly pages load. It reports in aggregate: no cookies, no tracking across other websites, no individual profiles.
Cookies
This site sets none at all — no cookies, no local storage. That is also why there is no cookie banner. There is nothing to consent to.
Other services your browser contacts
Almost nothing. The typeface, images, and stylesheets all come from this domain — we host the fonts ourselves specifically so that loading a page here does not hand your IP address to Google. Two Cloudflare addresses are the only exceptions:
challenges.cloudflare.com— the bot check, on the contact page onlystatic.cloudflareinsights.com— the analytics measurement
What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information
- We do not run advertising or social media trackers
- We do not add you to a marketing list — if you send a quote request, you get a reply about your quote
- We do not attempt to identify you beyond what you tell us
Asking us about your information
Use the contact form and tell us what you want — a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. We will do it, and we will not ask you to justify why.
Changes to this page
If what we do changes, this page changes with it and the date below changes too.
